“Gatsby meets the Cotton Club”

It was a hot night in more than one way on Saturday at the Annual fundraiser to support the Heritage Museums and Gardens! Guests arrived dressed in their 1920′s attire ready to celebrate! With the showcase cars out from display, many guests were able to take a ride in the vintage pieces and tour around the gardens! What a treat!

Here at the Casual Gourmet we were so thrilled to help plan and cater this annual event and show our support of such a great place! We went all out with our attire just as much as the guests. We dressed some of our wait staff as traditional flapper girls and our bartenders in 1920′s costumes- hats and all! It helped get everyone in the mood. To start off we served 7 different types of passed hors d’oeuvres and many specialty drinks served by our flapper girls.

Next, Olive outdid herself, once again, with the plated first course. Guests (and wait staff) were all impressed with the…

with Dijon-Shallot Vinaigrette

Heritage’s front grounds were transformed with all the decorations by Rentals Unlimited who provided the linens, tables, chairs and china, as well as the swanky light up bar. American Furniture Rental provided white leather lounges.  Sperry tent provided two tents (one for the seated dinner and one for the cocktail area) both of which perfectly housed all 220 plus guests with room to spare!

The celebration carried on seamlessly as the guests danced the night away with music by The Sultans of Swing! Not only was the party a success, Heritage was able to raise a boatload of money for the museum! To end the “Enchanted Evening” we transformed our girls into cigarette girls as they passed out an assortment of cake pops, gold dusted truffles, cream cheese stuffed strawberries and French meringues! Parfait!

Thank you Amy Riley of Painted Light Photography for all the wonderful pictures! #ccweddings
