			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal">Many little girls dream of their wedding day and there is nothing more satisfying to us then bringing that dream to life.<span> </span>This past weekend we had the honor of doing so for Stefania Palladino.<span> </span><span id="more-893"></span>Stefania and Justin, high school sweethearts, were married September 26th at Nauticus Marina on a gorgeous fall day with the sun shining and a gentle breeze coming up from the water.<span> </span>Their tent, provided by Sperry Tents, was positioned at the edge of the lawn overlooking the gorgeous marina filled with boats, and the lighthouse provided the perfect backdrop for the cocktail hour filled with guests milling around the property.<span> </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Stefania’s dream included a gorgeous gold and white themed event where no attention to detail was spared.<span> </span>Her linens, a Natural Botela fabric, that is actually made from recycled bottles, set the tone for the tablescape which included gold rimmed china and crystal glassware, gold flatware, and etched gold votives.<span> </span>Lilacs provided flowers in a mixture of white orchids, hydrangeas, and roses all arranged in crystal glass.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The guests dined on scrumptious hors d’oeuvres that included garlic rubbed lamb chops and <span>warmed goat cheese toasts with rosemary, walnuts &amp; honey.<span> </span>They were also treated to an elaborate cheese table and raw bar.<span> </span></span></p>

<p>For dinner, the bride and groom selected a four-course meal that started with a Caprese salad and moved on to a traditional risotto course to highlight the bride’s Italian heritage.<span> </span>For the entrée, they enjoyed a traditional Cape Cod ‘Surf and Turf’ with Beef Tenderloin and Lobster Tails.<span> </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span>For the Grand Finale, Stefania’s dream also included an elaborate five-tier wedding cake filled with lobster cream and decorated in gold leaf paint with her new monogram as the centerpiece of the cake.<span> </span>Guests were amazed by the detail of the cake and our pastry chefs did an excellent job fulfilling this part of Stefania’s dream.<span> </span>A candy bar and Viennese table completed the meal.<span> </span></span></p>

<p>Each bride chooses between 8-10 of our mouth watering butlered hors d&#8217;oeuvres in hope of narrowing their selection down to the 5 or 6 that will be served on their special day.</p>
<p>One or two fabulous salads come next, then it is onto the main entree.  Whether the bride may be interested in a plated dinner, a buffet or a station party, Chef Robert prepares bountiful</p>

<p>On Saturday, January 3<sup>rd</sup>,  the Casual Gourmet was very excited to be a part of another successful  Arts Foundation of Cape Cod art opening at the Cotuit Center for the  Arts.  Guests, who included both local artists, friends and members  of the Arts Foundation, dined on a wonderful ROYGBIV themed menu.   (For those who are unfamiliar with ROYGBIV it is an acronym for Red,  Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet).</p>
<p><span id="more-11"></span>Orange and green linens adorned  the food tables that featured vases of brightly colored hand painted  sticks that fit in with the colored artwork hung all around the museum.  <img src="http://www.thecasualgourmet.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/img_7026-199x300.jpg" alt="img_7026" title="img_7026" width="199" height="300" class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-24" />Upon the food tables sat a Color Palette of Crudite that included Winter  White with Buttermilk Peppercorn Dip, Fire Colors with Roasted Red Pepper  Dip and Verdant Display with Salsa Verde.  Toasted Philly Cheese  Steak Sandwiches and Coconut Shrimp sat on warmed pieces of marble and  were by far the most popular items of the evening.  Two beautiful  and delicious Tortas, one Apricot, Ginger &amp; Lemon and the other  a Bleu Cheese &amp; Fig sat on bright blue platters. Filling out the  tables were a Selection of Dips served with Multi-Colored Tortilla Chips  and a platter of cheese, fruit &amp; nuts.</p>
<p>For those with a sweet tooth,  a variety of pastry cream filled tartlets topped with brightly colored  fresh fruit sat on white platters on a table covered with a sun yellow  linen.</p>
<p>The evening was filled with  wonderful food, beautiful artwork and an array of colors that warmed  one up on a cold winter evening!</p>
